Suarez' gem & Snyder's blast cap sweep

Albert Suarez continued his season domination of the Tulsa Drillers on Sunday, improving to 3-0 with a 1.82 ERA in five starts.

Tulsa, OK - The Arkansas Travelers completed a four-game sweep of the Tulsa Drillers with a 4-1 win on Sunday night at ONEOK Field.

Arkansas scored all four runs in the fourth inning and RHP Albert Suarez (W, 8-7) tossed a career-high 7.2 innings in the win.

Suarez needed only 96 pitches to work into the eighth with two outs and LHP Greg Mahle (S, 10) earned the four-out save, his 10th of the season for the Travs and 19th in total.

Suarez allowed the run on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

Mahle retired all four batters he faced with two strikeouts.

Travs CF Chad Hinshaw led off the fourth with a double to right-center and scored on a RF Blake Gailen double to deep left. After 1B Brian Hernandez reached on an infield single, DH Michael Snyder blasted a colossal three-run home run onto the concourse in left to put Arkansas up 4-0. The longball was the first Double-A home run for Snyder since April 20.

The Travelers plated all four runs off LHP Julio Urias (L, 1-3) who made his first start for Tulsa in over two months due to eye surgery. Urias is ranked by Baseball America as the #4 prospect in baseball.

Hernandez finished 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

The four-game sweep was the first for the Travs in 2015.

Arkansas finished 3-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

With the win, the Travs improved to 52-47 on the season and 16-14 in the second half, tied with Springfield for first place in the Texas League North.

The Travs begin a seven-game homestand at Dickey-Stephens Park on Monday (three vs. Northwest Arkansas, four vs. Tulsa). First pitch on Monday is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
