With one out, Samir Duenez reached on an error by Page at first base. DonAndre Clark ran for Duenez, and with two outs, Clark advanced to second on a passed ball. After Luis Valenzuela walked, Bailey singled, scoring Clark as Valenzuela moved to second. Chad Johnson walked to load the bases, and Wander Franco's single brought in two runs, giving the Legends a 7-2 lead.

Hagerstown scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth, but pinch-hitter Austin Davidson flied out to left field with two runners on to end the game.
