Roster Move: Blandino Joins the Blue Wahoos

PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Cincinnati Reds have announced the following roster change for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos prior to tonight's game against the Jacksonville Suns.

·         Alex Blandino, INF, has been transferred from Daytona after being activated from DL

·         Nick Travieso, RHP, has been placed on the DL (retro 4/13)

Blandino, who was invited to his first Major League camp in 2016, finished the 2015 season with the Blue Wahoos. In 110 appearances at Daytona and Pensacola, he combined to hit .278 with 10 homeruns, 53 RBIs and nine stolen bases. Blandino will start tonight's game at shortstop.

Travieso, who made his Double-A debut earlier this month, is 1-0 with a 1.86 ERA in two starts this season.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos have 25 active players on the roster.  

The Blue Wahoos are taking on the Jacksonville Suns at Blue Wahoos Stadium for game four of the series tonight at 6:30 p.m.
