Yastrzemski promoted to Norfolk from Bowie

Grandson of Red Sox great to make Triple-A debut tonight at Pawtucket

The Baltimore Orioles today promoted outfielder Mike Yastrzemski to Norfolk from Double-A Bowie. Yastrzemski, who had hit .268 with six home runs and 27 RBI in 33 games with the Baysox, will be making his Triple-A debut.

A product of Vanderbilt University, Yastrzemski is the grandson of Red Sox great Carl Yastrzemski, who played his entire 23-year career with the Boston Red Sox. Mike is set to make his debut tonight at Pawtucket, Boston's Triple-A affiliate.

Yastrzemski is rated as the #20 prospect in the Orioles system according to MLB.com. The 25-year-old ranked among Eastern League leaders in RBI (27) and runs (27) at the time of his promotion.

Tonight's game can be heard live on ESPN Radio 94.1, with airtime set for 6:50 pm. It can also be seen live through MiLB.tv.
