EVERETT, Wash. - The 2016 Everett AquaSox will gear up for the season when they take on the Everett Merchants tonight at Everett Memorial Stadium in the 13th annual Everett Cup.

 

Only days after arriving in Everett from all corners of the globe, the AquaSox will be tasked with continuing a winning tradition that stretches back to 2011. Last year, the AquaSox dominated the Merchants in a lopsided 7-0 victory. The Merchants, a team comprised of mostly college-level players, will try to break that streak behind long-time Manager Harold Pyatte. With a record of 4 wins and 1 loss, the Merchants are off to a hot start in 2016.

 

After the Everett Cup, the AquaSox will hit the road until Opening Night presented by Tulalip Resort Casino on Thursday, June 23rd at 7:05 p.m. against the Boise Hawks. A limited number of tickets are still available for the game, which includes a Magnet Schedule Giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. Opening Night falls on a Coors Light Tasty Thursday this year, which means fans will enjoy $2 hot dogs, sodas, popcorn and 12oz Coors Light cans.
