Aguilera's HR & 4-4 day not enough in loss

Springdale, AR - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals belted 14 hits on Wednesday afternoon in an 8-6 victory over the Arkansas Travelers at Arvest Ballpark.

Trailing 2-0 and 5-2 in the game, the Travs battled back to tie the game 2-2 in the third and 5-5 in the seventh, but Northwest Arkansas kept the see-saw rocking back-and-forth.

Arkansas 1B Eric Aguilera finished the game 4-for-4 with a home run, double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Aguilera leads the Travs with 10 home runs and is third in the Texas League with 45 RBIs. Wednesday marked Aguilera's first four-hit game this season.

RHP Troy Scribner took a no-decision for Arkansas. The righty worked four innings and allowed five runs on eight hits with a walk and four strikeouts.

Travs relievers allowed four inherited runners to score while the Naturals scored seven of its eight runs with two outs.

With the game tied 5-5 in the seventh, RF Logan Moon lined a two-run single to left to put the Naturals up for good.

Every Naturals starter produced at least one hit in the game with 1B Frank Schwindel finishing 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Northwest Arkansas manufactured 27 hits over the last two games.

With the loss, Arkansas fell to 32-40 on the season and 0-2 in the second half. The Travs will head to Springfield, MO to begin a four-game series against the Cardinals. First pitch on Thursday night is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. and Hammons Field.
