Captains Begin Second-Half with a Four-Game Home Stand Featuring Fireworks, Heritage Nights and Bark in the Park

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will begin a four-game home stand on Thursday, June 23, when the Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers) will be in town for a four-game series.

All weekend is Peanut and Tree Nut Awareness Weekend. No peanuts will be served throughout the weekend. The ballpark was deep cleaned and prepared for those with peanut allergies so they can enjoy a ballgame.

The home stand opens with Thirsty Thursday and will feature a 25-cent Beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half-price domestic draft beer until 9 PM and half-price soda all game long. As part of Thirsty Thursday, the Captains will offer an all-you-can eat wing and pizza buffet outside the Corona Castaways Bar for only $15.

Thursday night is also home to Date Night in the Officer's Club, the Captains signature party area located on the suite level of Classic Park. The $25 ticket includes admission to The Officer's Club, an all-you-can-eat buffet and non-alcoholic beverages. 

Thursdays also feature ticket discounts for seniors, college students and military personnel. Any fan, who presents a college or military ID at the box office, will be able to purchase a $5 ticket for that evening's game. Thursday's gates will open at 6:00 PM followed by the 7:00 first pitch.

Friday is a Friday Fireworks Night presented by Highland Springs. The Fireworks will be set to Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra to coincide with Holy Cannoli Night. The traditional Italian Heritage Night will feature Italian did-you-knows and facts about Italy. There will be pre-game bocce ball on the field and also the Italian National Anthem. First Pitch will be at 7pm and gates will open 90-minutes prior at 5:30 PM. Friday kicks off

Saturday is a Salute to Charles Nagy. Nagy, the former Indians Pitcher, and current pitching coach for the Los Angeles Angles of Anaheim, is of Hungarian decent and the Salute coincides with the traditional Hungarian Heritage Night. Saturday Fireworks Night presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The fireworks will be shot off to Hungarian themed music to cap the night. First Pitch is at 7 PM and gates open at 5:30.

Sunday is Family Fun Sunday and new this year is the pre-game catch on the field. Fans will be allowed to play catch in the outfield from 12:30-12:50 PM. Family Fun Sunday's include pre-game player autograph sessions, concourse entertainment, and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. First pitch is at 1:30 and gates open at 12:30 PM.

Sunday, is the first of three Bark-In-The-Park days at Classic Park. Fans are encouraged to bring their canine friends to the game. A Pooch Pass is just $5 with proceeds benefiting local charities. The two other Bark-In-The-Park games are August 8tha and August 28th.
