June 30, 2016

Trailing 3-0 headed into the fourth inning, Missoula (4-9) flexed its muscle over the final six frames, scoring 10 runs on 11 hits, including a season-high five home runs, to earn a 10-3 victory over Helena (8-5) from Kindrick Legion Field in Helena, Mont.

Ramon Hernandez got the homer frenzy going with a solo shot, his third of the year, in the fourth inning to cut the deficit to 3-1. A leadoff homer from Jose Herrera, his first of the season, in the fifth made it a one-run game at 3-2 before Jasrado Chisholm delivered a two-out two-RBI double down the right field line to put the O's on top, 4-3.

After taking the lead in the fifth, Missoula never looked back, plating two more in the seventh on a Billy Endris two-run homer, three in the eighth, including a two-run shot from Luis Silverio, and one more in the ninth on a solo homer from Ryan January - his third of the season.

Silverio finished the game 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI, falling a triple short of the cycle. Chisholm and Hernandez also finished with multiple hits, collecting two apiece.

Osprey starter Luis Madero lasted 4.0 innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and five walks with one strikeout. Dean Jackson entered in the fifth inning, throwing 3.0 scoreless frames of relief, surrendering just two hits and a walk with two strikeouts to record his second victory of the season. Tyler Keele finished the game on the mound for the Osprey, dealing the final 2.0 scoreless innings with three strikeouts to secure the victory.

Nattino Diplan was charged with the loss and fell to 0-2 on the season after allowing four runs on six hits, including a pair of homers, over 4.2 innings. Scott Serigstad also got hit hard for Helena, allowing five runs on six hits, including two homers, over his 2.0 innings of work.

Missoula will continue a string of six straight games against Helena on Thursday, returning home to begin a three-game series against the Brewers at 7:05 p.m. in game four.
