August 17, 2016

Oklahoma City - Corey Brown hit a two-run homer over the tall wall in right field in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the Oklahoma City Dodgers to a 3-2 walk-off win Wednesday night against the Albuquerque Isotopes at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The Dodgers trailed, 2-1, entering the bottom of the ninth inning.

O'Koyea Dickson led off with a single for Oklahoma City. Micah Johnson entered the game to pinch run for Dickson. Brown then connected on his 20th home run of the season to send the Dodgers to their third walk-off win of the season.

The win allowed the Dodgers (70-53) to even the four-game series against the Isotopes, 1-1, in front of a crowd of 4,014.

Oklahoma City took the first lead of the night in the first inning.

Austin Toles led off with a home run that landed on the berm in right-center field for a 1-0 Dodgers lead. The home run was Toles' second of the season with Oklahoma City.

A sacrifice fly by Albuquerque's Alex Castellanos in the second inning scored Tom Murphy from third base to tie the game, 1-1.

The Isotopes (57-66) took the lead in the fourth inning when Murphy led off with a home run for a 2-1 advantage.

Brown's walk-off homer in the ninth inning was the second of the season for the Dodgers, and first since Zach Walters' walk-off homer July 5 against Colorado Springs.

Dodgers starting pitcher Jose De Leon tossed seven strong innings, allowing six hits and two runs. He did not issue a walk and recorded 10 strikeouts for the third time this season. He started the game by striking out the side in the top of the first inning on nine pitches.

Oklahoma City's Ralston Cash and Randy Choate combined to pitch a scoreless and hitless eighth inning. Matt West (3-0) pitched a scoreless and hitless ninth inning for the win.

Isotopes pitcher Simon Castro (0-5) was charged with the loss.

The Dodgers continue their series against the Albuquerque Isotopes at 7:05 p.m. Thursday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Tomorrow is a $2 Thursday, featuring water, soda and select 16-ounce beers for $2.
