Jamie Wesbrook bounced out to Ortega at short, with Leyba advancing to third. Kevin Cron drove a sacrifice fly to center, plating the go-ahead run for the 3-2 advantage.

The BayBears tacked on three more runs in the fifth to open up a four-run cushion.

Westbrook doubled with one out and advanced to third on an infield single by Cron to put runners on the corners. Travis Denker drove home the runner from third with a single up the middle for the home team's fourth run of the game.

Stewart Ijames followed with a double to the wall in right to plate Cron and Denker, ending the night for Woodruff (7-8).
