EVERETT, Wash.- Sunday night featured the series finale of a three-game set between the AquaSox and Canadians. Despite seeing the Frogs fall 8-6, a crowd of 3,495 joined the AquaSox in celebrating Family Festival, presented by Seattle Children's Hospital. Everett starter, Ljay Newsome, struggled in the series finale, tossing four innings while allowing eight runs (four via the home run ball) on seven hits. Vancouver's early barrage of two-run home runs proved to be too much for the Frogs to overcome, as they fell 8-6 to Vancouver in the series finale. After picking up a series victory over Vancouver, the Frogs will travel to Boise to take on the Hawks beginning Monday night.

The AquaSox jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Eric Filia began the right where he left off on Saturday, hitting a double off the center field wall. Later in the frame, Austin Grebeck plated Filia on an RBI single.

The Canadians struck back with four two-run home runs in the top of the third, fourth and fifth inning. The first home run came off the bat of Bryan Lizardo, making it 2-1 Vancouver. The next two were hit by Jacob Anderson and D.J. McKnight, increasing Vancouver's lead to 6-1. The fourth two-run blast came in the top of the fifth off the bat of Juan Tejada, increasing the Canadian's lead to 8-1.

Everett cut the seven run deficit to five in the bottom of the fifth. Donnie Walton hit an RBI double to the left-center field gap, scoring Austin Grebeck. Nick Zammarelli followed with an RBI single, plating Walton to make it 8-3 Vancouver.

Nick Thurman scored on a throwing error by Vancouver catcher Javier Hernandez in the bottom of the sixth, bringing the Vancouver lead to 8-4.

The Frogs added a run in the bottom of the seventh to make it 8-5 Vancouver. Eric Filia grounded into a fielder's choice, plating Mike Baxter who doubled earlier in the frame.

Eric Filia delivered once more in the bottom of the ninth, hitting an RBI double to the right field wall to make it 8-6 Vancouver.

The Frog's comeback effort was put to an end by Nick Hartman. Despite allowing one run to score, Hartman earned a save by securing an 8-6 victory for the Vancouver Canadians.

The AquaSox bullpen pitched five shutout innings in relief of Newsome. Lane Ratliff and Marvin Gorgas both delivered two scoreless innings. Thomas Burrows followed with a scoreless inning, allowing no hits while striking out one.

Nick Zammarelli and Eric Filia collected three hits on Sunday night, continuing their torrid pace to the season.
