The Sacramento River Cats (11-19) fell 6-5 to the Reno Aces (19-12) Sunday afternoon at Raley Field. The River Cats took an early lead thanks to a Tim Federowicz grand slam, but the bullpen was unable to hold the lead late in the game

Federowicz hit his slam in the fourth inning, at the time putting the River Cats up 4-0. The blast, which came with two outs in the inning, was his first home run of the year and traveled 411 feet out to left field.
Gregorio was very strong on the mound for Sacramento, allowing just one run in six innings of work. The lanky right-hander pitched into the sixth inning for the third time this season but took a no decision after the Aces rallied against the River Cats pen.
Kraig Sitton took the loss for the River Cats after he was tagged for four runs in the eighth inning. Three of those runs came in with Tyler Rogers on the mound, who has now allowed six of eight inherited runners to score this season.
The two teams will square off again tomorrow night as Michael Roth (2-43, 5.73) goes up against Reno's Keyvius Sampson (3-1, 4.22). First pitch is set for 7:05 pm (PT) and the game can be heard live online at rivercats.com and on the air on ESPN 1320.
