Indians Player of the Week (May 4 - May 10): Joey Terdoslavich

INDIANAPOLIS - Tribe infielder Joey Terdoslavich has been named the Indians Player of the Week for his outstanding week at the plate.

INDIANAPOLIS - Tribe infielder Joey Terdoslavich has been named the Indians Player of the Week for his outstanding week at the plate.

Terdoslavich proved to be a difficult out in the bottom third of the Indians lineup for the opposing pitchers of Columbus and Charlotte. After consecutive rainouts opened the week, the Sarasota, Fla. native hit .571 (8-for-14) with one double, one run scored and three RBI in four starts. He recorded two hits in each start, providing punch near the bottom of Indy's lineup.
His .571 average during the week ranked second in the International League, trailing only Toledo's Argenis Diaz who hit .588 (10-for-17). He came into the week with an overall season average of .200 and successfully bumped it up to .306 (15-for-49).
Honorable Mention: Danny Ortiz was close in the running for Indians Player of the Week after hitting .467 (7-for-15) with one double and two runs scored while recording multi-hit games in three of his four starts.
