The International League today announced that infielder Johnny Giavotella, catcher Chance Sisco and RHP Jimmy Yacabonis will represent Norfolk and the International League in the Triple-A All-Star Game.

Giavotella, 29, has hit .309 with five home runs and 43 doubles in 76 games for the Tides this season. He's currently leading the International League with 94 hits, and he ranks among IL leaders in at-bats (2nd, 304), doubles (T-3rd, 19), games (T-4th, 76), average (5th, .309) and total bases (5th, 136). The University of New Orleans product has had four different hitting streaks of seven games or more, and he's currently on pace to register 169 hits this season - a mark that would rank second in Tides franchise history behind the 170 registered by Kevin Elster in the 1987 campaign.
Sisco, 22, has batted .266 with three home runs, 16 doubles and a .342 on-base percentage in 61 games for Norfolk this year. He's batted .300 in 30 games since May 18th, and he's registered 19 multi-hit games this season - including eight in the month of June. Sisco, a 2nd round pick by Baltimore in 2013 out of Santiago High School in Corona, CA, is currently rated as the #1 prospect in the Orioles system by both MLB.com and Baseball America.
Yacabonis, 25, has gone 1-0 with seven saves and a 0.93 ERA in 27 relief appearances out of Norfolk's bullpen. The Saint Joseph's University product has held IL batters to a league-best .134 average, as he's allowed just 17 hits in 38.2 innings of work. The Triple-A rookie has not allowed a run in 23 of his 27 appearances, and he's posted a 0.54 ERA (1 ER, 16.2 IP) with more strikeouts (13) than hits allowed (7) over his last 11 outings.
The 30th annual gathering of the classification's top stars will be played at historic Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Washington on Wednesday, July 12 and will be broadcast live on MLB Network, American Forces Network, MiLB.TV, and the Triple-A All-Star Game Radio Network beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET.
