LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. - Lane Adams belted a pair of home runs to rally the Gwinnett Braves past the Indianapolis Indians, 9-3, Friday night at Coolray Field. Christopher Bostick and Phil Gosselin both finished with three hits to lead the Tribe offensively.

Adams' first long ball of the game leveled the score at two in the sixth. In the seventh, on the heels of run-scoring singles by Ronald Acuna and Jace Peterson that put Gwinnett (48-49) on top 4-2, Adams crushed another opposite-field homer to blow the game open. His three-run shot gave him four RBI in the game.
The Indians (54-44) took an early 2-0 advantage against veteran righty Kris Medlen in the second. Gosselin opened the inning with a single to left and after a flyout, both he and Gift Ngoepe advanced safely on a fielding error by Peterson at third. Clay Holmes then sacrificed both runners into scoring position before Bostick tallied his second single of the night. His two-out knock pushed his two-out RBI total to a team-high 22.
The G-Braves chipped away at their deficit, scoring once in the fifth despite loading the bases with no outs. Holmes allowed a leadoff single followed by his fifth and sixth walks of the game, ultimately ending his outing. Tyler Eppler limited the damage to a single run that came on an Xavier Avery sacrifice fly.
Carlos Franco launched a two-run pinch-hit homer off Montana DuRapau in the eighth to cap the scoring. The home run was his 17th of the season between Double- and Triple-A.
Eppler (6-5) took the loss after yielding six runs (five earned) on six hits over three innings. Andres Santiago (2-0) earned the win with two perfect innings in relief.
The Indians and G-Braves continue their four-game set Saturday night. The Tribe will send southpaw Steven Brault (8-4, 2.06) to the mound, opposite Braves righty Lucas Sims (6-4, 4.01). First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. ET, and the broadcast can be heard on Fox Sports 97.5 or AM 1260.
