Vogelbach (2x3, R, RBI, HR, BB), left fielder Ian Miller (2x4, 3B) and designated hitter Gordon Beckham (1x4, R, RBI) led the way for the Rainiers on offense as they captured the series sweep over Sacramento.

Gonzales (1-0) delivered a quality start in in Rainiers debut, allowing just three runs over six innings while striking out five and walking just one. He was credited with the victory.
Gonzales was given run support early on when Vogelbach launched his 13th home run of the season over the wall in right-center, putting Tacoma out in front during the bottom of the second, 1-0.
An RBI single from Beckham and a wild pitch from Sacramento pitcher Collin Balester scored a pair of runs for the Rainiers, extending their lead to 3-0. Catcher Tuffy Gosewisch then lifted a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Beckham and increasing the Tacoma advantage to 4-0 during the bottom of the fourth.
The River Cats struck back with three runs during the top of the sixth to move the score to 4-3, but the Rainiers bullpen kept Sacramento off the board during the final three frames.
Tacoma right hander Max Povse (0-0) easily navigated through the River Cats lineup Monday afternoon, allowing just one hit across two innings and tallying two strikeouts during his fourth relief appearance.
Rainiers reliever Dan Altavilla (0-0) tossed a scoreless top of the ninth to notch his third save of the season.
