Brooks turned in a scoreless debut, but a four-run seventh inning gave the Round Rock Express a 4-1 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in front of 7,902 at the Dell Diamond Tuesday night.

Colorado Springs (77-54) cracked the scoreboard first in the fifth inning against former Sky Sox pitcher Paolo Espino. After a walk and a double led off the frame, Mauricio Dubón plated Nate Orf on a sacrifice fly to center field to give the visitors a 1-0 lead on the 29th Triple-A RBI for Dubon.
Making his debut for the Sky Sox after being claimed off waivers from the Chicago Cubs, Brooks kept the Express (62-70) off the board by tossing four scoreless innings and scattering four hits. The scoreless outing is the right-hander's second in 2017 after allowing zero earned runs June 1 against Nashville in Des Moines.
RHP Junior Guerra (2-2, 2.45 ERA) looks to help the Sox even the series Wednesday night at 6:05 p.m. MT against Round Rock RHP Adrian Sampson (0-0, 0.00 ERA).
