Hiura earned a promotion to the Shuckers on June 1 after hitting .320 with 16 doubles, seven home runs and 23 RBI at High-A Carolina. After joining the Shuckers, Hiura hit safely in 12 of his first 14 games including seven multi-hit games. All told, the 21-year-old has hit .326 with 11 doubles, two home runs, four RBI and 16 runs scored in 24 games with Biloxi.
Taken ninth overall by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2017 out of UC-Irvine, Hiura becomes the fourth Biloxi Shuckers player to participate in the All-Star Futures Game. Shortstop
The 20th All-Star Futures Game kicks off the 2018 Major League Baseball All-Star festivities at Nationals Park on Sunday, July 15 at 3:00 PM CT. The game can be streamed on MLB.com and viewed on MLB Network.
