Fightins sweep the RubberDucks

(Akron, OH) - The Reading Fightin Phils (55-60) finished off the sweep of the Akron RubberDucks (66-50) on Thursday night as they won 2-0. Felix Paulino (2-0) pitched six shutout innings to earn his second win of the season.
Reading scored first for the third straight night against the RubberDucks as they took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning. Adam Haseley and Damek Tomscha both hit RBI singles off RubberDucks starter Kyle Dowdy (3-6) to score Deivi Grullon and Heiker Meneses . Haseley extended his hitting streak to seven games as he finished the night going 2-for-3.
Seth McGarry pitched two scoreless innings in relief while Jeff Singer earned his tenth save in ten tries to close the door in the bottom of the ninth inning.
