KINSTON, N.C. (June 26, 2017) - Brady Conlan tied the game with a two-out, two-run single in the ninth, and Luis Basabe gave the Dash the lead with a two-out, two-run double in the 10th in Winston-Salem's thrilling 4-2 win at Down East on Monday evening at Grainger Stadium.
The Dash (4-1, 28-47) trailed 2-0 going into the ninth, but the club mustered a comeback against the Wood Ducks bullpen. Jameson Fisher singled to start the frame against Adam Choplick, who was replaced by Tyler Ferguson (0-4) after a strikeout of Basabe.

Following another strikeout, pinch hitter Zack Collins singled to right and moved up on a throwing error by right fielder Ledarious Clark to put runners on second and third. Conlan followed by blooping a two-run single to left-center to knot the contest at two.
In the 10th, the Dash made their only lead of the game hold up for the victory. After Winston-Salem put runners on first and second with two outs, the Woodies summoned Grant Zawadzki to face Basabe. On a 1-0 pitch, the 20-year-old smacked a two-run double to right to put the Dash ahead 4-2.
Closer Jack Charleston locked down the come-from-behind win with a scoreless inning to record his sixth save in as many opportunities.

Winston-Salem received a strong start from prospect right-hander Alec Hansen, who was a Midseason All-Star with Low-A Kannapolis before joining the Dash on Thursday. The right-hander tossed five scoreless innings in his first start in the Dash purple. The 49th overall pick in the 2016 Draft out of the University of Oklahoma, Hansen yielded four hits while striking out five batters. Impressively, the 22-year-old found the strike zone 66 times during his 89-pitch effort.
Thanks to Hansen's strong outing, Dash starters have not allowed a run in 16 consecutive innings over the last three games. Jimmy Lambert threw six hitless innings on Saturday, while the recently-promoted Tanner Banks went five hitless frames on Sunday.
In the loss, Down East (2-2, 26-47) wasted an impressive start from Jonathan Hernandez, who held Winston-Salem hitless through the first five frames. Johan Cruz broke up the no-hitter with a leadoff single in the sixth, but that would be the club's only hit against the starter in seven innings of work.
After Ian Hamilton replaced Hansen and tossed a perfect sixth, the Wood Ducks struck first on an RBI fielder's choice by Arturo Lara in the seventh. Hamilton had not allowed an earned run in his first 16 innings of work at the High-A level.
The Wood Ducks added their second run in the eighth against Jake Johansen (1-1) on a sacrifice fly by Yanio Perez, but the former Nationals farmhand picked up the victory after dealing a scoreless ninth.
Winston-Salem continues its four-game series against Down East on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. contest at Grainger Stadium. The Dash send right-hander Brannon Easterling (4-4, 4.30 ERA) to the bump against Wood Ducks southpaw Jeffrey Springs (1-6, 4.75 ERA). Pregame coverage begins at 6:45 p.m., and fans can catch all of the action on wsdash.com/broadcast and the TuneIn Radio App.
Following this eight-game road trip, #YourHomeTeam returns to BB&T Ballpark for Independence Day! The Dash are hosting the only Fourth of July Fireworks show in Winston-Salem. The club will play at 6:30 p.m. against Down East before an extended fireworks display. Tickets start as low as $9 in advance, but seats are selling out quickly.
