ERIE, Pa. – The Richmond Flying Squirrels lost, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon as the Erie SeaWolves completed a six-game sweep at UPMC Park.
The Flying Squirrels (12-21) were handed their eighth consecutive loss overall, including all six games against the SeaWolves (19-11), and were swept in a six-game set for the first time in franchise history.
The SeaWolves took a 1-0 lead in the third inning with an RBI single by Hao-Yu Lee against starter Matt Frisbee (Loss, 0-5). Lee added a solo homer in the fifth to extend the lead to 2-0.
Erie scored five runs in the fifth to push its lead to 7-0. Gage Workman brought in a run with a sacrifice fly, Trei Cruz hit an RBI single and Lee hit a three-run homer.
The Flying Squirrels were held to two hits in the game. Erie starter Lael Lockhart (Win, 2-2) pitched five one-hit innings and struck out two.

With five strikeouts in his start, Frisbee now has 256 for his Richmond career, which moved him into third place on the Flying Squirrels’ all-time list.
The Flying Squirrels return to The Diamond on Tuesday to open a six-game homestand against the Reading Fightin Phils. Right-hander Ryan Murphy (1-3, 2.57) will start on the mound for Richmond. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
