The Mets quickly answered with three runs in the top of the fourth off of
Josh Torres, who struck out the side in the ninth on Friday, retired all four batters he faced in relief of Gonzalez. He struck out three more hitters.
Tebow went 1 for 4 with a single, RBI and run. His base hit in the ninth extended his hitting streak to seven games. He has reached safely in all 12 games with St. Lucie.
The Mets (5-11, 38-46) and Hammerheads (7-9, 40-44) play the third game of their series on Sunday. First pitch at Roger Dean Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
