The Tennessee Smokies outlasted the Biloxi Shuckers in game four winning by a final score of 8-6 to even the series at two games apiece.
Tennessee (13-11) gave up an early 4-0 lead but rallied to win by two.
The Smokies got offensive production from multiple players. James Triantos was 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Moises Ballesteros was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a run scored.
Matthew Thompson started for the Smokies and only allowed two baserunners through five innings. He ran into trouble in the sixth when he walked three straight to start the frame. Chris Kachmar (1-0) came on in relief and got the win. Eduarniel Nunez got his first save by setting the Shuckers (13-12) down in the ninth.
Carlos Rodriguez for Biloxi has had a phenomenal series. He picked up three more hits in the Friday game and now has 12 in the series first four games.
These two teams will meet for game five of the series on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
