The Tennessee Smokies won in dramatic fashion on Tuesday night with a walk-off home run by Hayden Cantrelle in the 11th inning to defeat the Montgomery Biscuits 6-5.
The game was back-and-forth with four ties and four lead changes. Montgomery (6-4) scored one in the top of the 11th to go ahead 5-4, but in the bottom of the inning a Matt Shaw RBI single and the Cantrelle home run won the game.
Tennessee (5-4) hit four solo home runs in the game with Josh Rivera, Moises Ballesteros and James Triantos all also going deep.
Jake Reindl (2-0) pitched the 10th and 11th innings and got the win. Antonio Menendez (0-1) took the loss.
The two teams will meet again tomorrow night at Smokies Stadium at 7:00 p.m. ET for game two of the six game series.
