The Tennessee Smokies beat the Biloxi Shuckers 8-6 on Saturday night to win their third game of the series.
Tennessee (14-11) used a four run second to get and stay in front of Biloxi (13-13). Jordan Nwogu hit a three-run home run in the inning to collect his first RBIs of the year.
Moises Ballesteros continued his incredible work at the plate. He went 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI and he now has eight hits in the series. Haydn McGeary also had a solid night at the plate as he picked up three hits.
The Smokies got a strong start from Connor Noland (2-1) who pitched six innings and only allowed two runs. Adam Seminaris (0-1) started and took the loss for Biloxi. Blake Weiman got the last four outs and picked up his first save of the year despite the fact that he gave up a three-run home run to Mike Boeve in the ninth inning.
These two teams will wrap up the series on Sunday afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 2:00 ET.
