In a scoreless game, Hayden Cantrelle hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to score Luis Verdugo, to secure a 1-0 victory. Tennessee pitching was brilliant, as the staff allowed just one base hit to Biloxi, as well as eight walks and eight strikeouts. Although none of the top three Smokies hitters recorded a base hit, the bottom three hitters all did, including Cantrelle, who had the walk-off base hit. For the Smokies, it is their third walk-off victory of the season, and their second shutout win.

As for Biloxi, its offense recorded just one hit in 25 at-bats. Tennessee reliever Frankie Scalzo Jr. recorded his first win of the season, behind a perfect ninth inning. Scalzo Jr. is one of two Smokies relievers yet to allow an earned run.
