The Tennessee Smokies split a doubleheader on Thursday against the Biloxi Shuckers.

Tennessee (12-11) took game one 5-3. The big inning was the fourth. Tennessee sent seven men to the plate and scored four times. Matt Shaw and Pablo Aliendo both had two RBI hits in the inning.

Kyle Hendricks (1-0) made a rehab start in game one and got the win. Hendricks pitched five innings, allowed six hits, two runs and struck out seven.

After the game he said he felt good about his performance and that his back also felt good.

In game two the Smokies had a 3-1 lead but the Shuckers (13-11) scored four in the fifth on two base hits and five walks to take the lead for good. Biloxi went on to win 7-5.

Jake Reindl (3-1) allowed four earned runs and issued four walks in relief and took his first loss of the season in game two.

These two teams will meet for game four of the six game series on Friday night with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
