HARRISBURG, Pa. (April 16, 2026) – The Harrisburg Senators and UCP of Central PA, a nonprofit supporting people with disabilities, announced on Thursday the unveiling of the new UCP Sensory-Friendly Room at FNB Field. A ribbon-cutting event for the space will occur at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, ahead of that night’s Senators game.

The UCP Sensory-Friendly Room provides a quiet, calming space for fans with sensory sensitivities to break from the sights and sounds of the ballpark environment. This room is made possible through the generous sponsorship of UCP of Central PA.

“This is so important for our organization to have; we want every fan who walks through our gates to feel welcome, comfortable and included,” said Alvin Torres, Senators Manager, Community Relations. “Creating a space like this and taking steps to be more sensory friendly allows more families to enjoy the game together, and that’s what it’s all about.”

The room features comfortable seating like a beanbag chair and floor cushions. A variety of fidget tools will also be available.

The Senators game on April 21 is also Sensory-Friendly Night. As part of the event, the gameday conditions will be adjusted, featuring reduced audio levels and videoboard brightness as well as other mindful modifications.

Additionally, the Senators and KultureCity have partnered to certify FNB Field as a sensoryinclusive certified venue. KultureCity works with hundreds of major venues across professional sports. The Senators have a limited number of sensory bags, featuring noisecanceling headphones, tinted sensory glasses and fidget tools, as well as weighted lap pads, available for fans to use during the game.
