COACHING STAFF
After serving as Burlington's bench coach in 2017, former major leaguer Brooks Conrad is taking over the managerial duties in 2018. Carlos Martinez will spend his seventh consecutive season as the team's pitching coach, while Nelson Liriano is the hitting coach.
PITCHERS
Of the 17 pitchers on the roster, the most highly-touted is Daniel Lynch, who was selected with the 34th-overall selection in the 2018 draft by Kansas City out of the University of Virginia. The other 2018 draft picks include Austin Cox, a fifth-round choice out of Mercer University, Austin Lambright, the 10th-round pick from the University of Central Oklahoma, Kyle Hinton, who was taken in the 16th-round out of the University of Delaware and Josh Dye, a 21st round selection from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Henry, a 14th round pick out of high school in Texas in 2017, is seeing his first playing time in the Kansas City organization.
Bradshaw was a 38th round pick out of Patrick Henry Community College in 2017 and spent last season in the Arizona League.
Negret, a Cuban-born product, is in his first season in the organization after his release from Atlanta.
The Burlington Royals are the Appalachian League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
The 2018 season opens on the road against the Elizabethton Twins on June 19. The home opener is on June 22 against the Bluefield Blue Jays.
