Mudcats Announce Promotions Schedule for 30th Anniversary Season

ZEBULON, N.C. - Exciting family fun is once again on tap in 2020 as the Carolina Mudcats today unveil an all-new promotions schedule featuring spectacular souvenir giveaways, exciting new specialty game jersey events and over a dozen fireworks shows for the upcoming 30th anniversary season of baseball at Five County Stadium.

Highlighted by three souvenir replica jersey giveaways including a Pescados de Carolina replica jersey giveaway on May 22, a pinstriped throwback Mudcats replica jersey giveaway on July 25 and a military themed Mudcats replica jersey giveaway on August 15, the 2020 promotions schedule is sure to be one of the most intriguing in team history.
Season ticket packages, group ticket packages and the latest mini plans for the upcoming 2020 season are all available now by visiting the Five County Stadium front office in Zebulon, by calling (919) 269-CATS (2287) and by visiting carolinamudcats.com. Individual game tickets, meanwhile, will go on sale online at carolinamudcats.com beginning on Monday, February 3.
The historic 30th anniversary season promotions schedule also includes 919 Night featuring a long sleeved hoodie giveaway (April 25), Star Wars Night with Star Wars game jerseys (May 9), Ag Night with souvenir t-shirt giveaway (June 6), Pride Night (June 25), Margaritaville Night with souvenir Hawaiian shirt (June 27) and the return of both the Carolina Micro Brews and Pescados de Carolina series of games.
As previously announced, tickets to each replica jersey giveaway game (May 22, July 25, August 15), as well as the 919 Night (April 25) and Margaritaville Night on June 27, are all included in Carolina's Grand Slam ticket plan. The Grand Slam plan starts at $55 and includes one box seat ticket as well as Carolina's "Giveaway Guarantee" with plan holders guaranteed to receive a souvenir giveaway item from each respective game included in the ticket plan.
The souvenir giveaway schedule additionally includes free souvenir 2020 season magnetic schedules presented by Bright Leaf Hot Dogs handed out during the first weekend of the season (while supplies last) beginning with Opening Night vs. Winston-Salem on April 9 and running through Easter Sunday on April 12. The souvenir giveaways this season will also include a co-branded Mudcats and East Carolina University souvenir hat for the second annual ECU Night on May 21.
For the second consecutive season the Mudcats will once again play as Pescados de Carolina while participating in Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversión series this year with four separate Copa de la Diversión nights. The Mudcats will play as Pescados de Carolina, and in culturally-relevant Copa de la Diversión inspired hats and jerseys, on April 24, May 22 (features Pescados de Carolina replica jersey giveaway), June 5 and July 24.
The Mudcats will also suit up as the Carolina Micro Brews for eight Thirsty Thursday games this season as Tryon Family Dentistry presents Micro Brews games on April 23, April 30, May 14, May 28, June 4, July 9, July 16 and August 6. Additionally, this season, the Mudcats are offering fans a chance to own a limited edition (non-game) yellow Micro Brews jersey through a special Micro Brews themed ticket package. The Micro Brews ticket package, now on sale for $115, celebrates the second straight year of Micro Brews baseball and features a free special edition yellow Micro Brews jersey, a ticket to each of the eight scheduled Micro Brews games during the 2020 season, as well as a ticket to both Opening Night (April 9) and Fan Appreciation Night on Monday, August 31 at Five County Stadium. The Micro Brews ticket package offer expires on March 1, 2020.
Specialty jerseys once again fill the new promotions schedule with Star Wars game jerseys for Star Wars night on May 9, patriotic themed game jerseys for Memorial Day on May 25, Independence Day on July 4 and Military Appreciation Day on August 15. The 2020 schedule will also include Autism Awareness Day presented by Hardison and Cochran Attorneys at Law featuring Autism Awareness game jerseys on yet-to-be-determined date. All specialty jerseys will later be made available fans to purchase through an online auction. All proceeds from the respective online auctions will benefit local charities.
This season's special event schedule also includes Bark in the Park on April 30, Scout Night on May 8, a celebrity appearance by actor Leslie David Baker from The Office on May 23, two Super Splash Days presented by Marbles Kids Museum on June 17 and July 29, Paper Product and Cleaning Supply Drive on June 26, Negro League Appreciation Night on July 17, Christmas in July on July 25, First Responders Night on August 7 and Fan Appreciation Night featuring a player used batting practice jersey sweepstakes for fans on August 31.
On top of all of the fantastic promotions this season, the Mudcats are also excited to bring back several popular daily themes to the 2020 home schedule including WakeMed Five County Family Sundays, Thirsty Thursday and House Autry Family Friday Fireworks nights. The Mudcats will additionally host Saturday Night Fireworks on April 11, Sunday Night Fireworks on May 24 for Memorial Day Weekend and the Mudcats for America Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza show on July 4.
WakeMed Five County Family Sundays feature $6.00 box seat tickets for fans residing in one of Five County Stadium's five counties including Wake, Franklin, Nash, Johnston and Wilson counties. WakeMed Five County Family Sundays also include free admission for Muddy's Buddies Kids Club members and discounted $2.00 bottled waters available at the Five County Stadium concession stands. Thirsty Thursday features half priced draft beers and half priced bottled Pepsi products at Five County Stadium and select $1.00 menu concession items.
Each Sunday game this season will also include the new 30th Anniversary Hot Dog Specials available at the Five County Stadium concession stands with specialized hot dogs relevant to Carolina's team history. The 30th Anniversary Hot Dog Specials include the Houston Texas Dog on April 12 (honoring the Houston Astros affiliation from 1989-1990), Columbus Scrambled Dog on April 26 (Columbus Mudcats 1989-1990), Carolina Slaw Dog on May 10 (Carolina Mudcats 1991-Present), Pittsburgh Smokehouse Dog on June 7 (Pittsburgh Pirates affiliation, 1991-1998), Colorado Rockie Dog on June 28 (Colorado Rockies affiliation, 1999-2002), Miami Cuban Dog on July 5 (then-Florida Marlins affiliation, 2003-2008), Cincinnati Chili Coney on July 26 (Cincinnati Reds affiliation, 2009-2011), Cleveland Polish Boy on August 9 (Cleveland Indians affiliation, 2012-2014), ATL Dog on August 16 (Atlanta Braves affiliation, 2015-2016) and the Milwaukee Brew Dog on August 30 (Milwaukee Brewers affiliation, 2017-Present).
