Clippers finish road trip with 5-2 record

The Gwinnett Braves won the final game of the series. 6-2 over the Columbus Clippers. The Braves scored six runs in the first four innings off of the Clippers' starter Michael Peoples (1-1).Columbus kept from being shut out when the Clippers scored two runs in the ninth frame. Bradley Zimmer

The Gwinnett Braves won the final game of the series. 6-2 over the Columbus Clippers. The Braves scored six runs in the first four innings off of the Clippers' starter Michael Peoples (1-1).
Columbus kept from being shut out when the Clippers scored two runs in the ninth frame. Bradley Zimmer singled to left field. Chris Colabello also singled to left field, Zimmer moved to 2nd. With Richie Shaffer batting, a wild pitch, sent Zimmer to 3rd and Colabello to 2nd. Shaffer then walked. Giovanny Urshela singled to right field, Zimmer scored; Colabello moved to 3rd; Shaffer to 2nd. Erik Kratz grounds into a force out, Colabello was thrown out at home, Shaffer moved to 3rd; Urshela to 2nd. Jordan Smith walked, scoring Shaffer. However that's where the rally ended. 

The Clippers return home to Huntington Park Monday May 15 for a five game series vs. Indianapolis Indians (May15-19; doubleheader on Tuesday) .
