Two Clippers have been named to the 2013 International League All-Star Team.
In his first season in Triple-A, RHP Preston Guilmet has provided consistency at the back of the Clippers bullpen. His 16 saves are good for second place in the International League, trailing only Norfolk's Jairo Asencio (18). Guilmet was elected to the International League All-Star Team via online fan voting on MiLB.com.
Selected by league managers and officials, catcher Omir Santos is the second Clippers' representative on the International League All-Star Team. Santos has provided veteran leadership and a steady bat to the Clippers offense. Hitting at a .272 clip, Santos is amongst the team leaders in batting average.
The International League All-Stars will play the All-Stars from the Pacific Coast League in the Triple-A All-Star Game on July 17th at Aces Ballpark in Reno, Nevada. The Triple-A All-Star game will be broadcast live on MLB network at 9:05 ET.
