The Columbus Clippers finished off their series against the Charlotte Knights with a victory tonight at BB&T Ballpark.
They used a single and two homeruns to help themselves to a 4-1 win in their last game against Charlotte this season.

Clippers starter Mitch Talbot was excellent, shutting out the Knights in his seven innings, and making the best of the run support his offense gave him.
Chris Tremie's squad first scored in the top of the fourth inning when Drew Maggi dunked in a single off Knight's starter Carson Fulmer, making it 1-0.
They tacked on another in the sixth when cleanup man Brandon Barnes knocked a solo homerun off Fulmer, his seventh this year.
Nellie Rodríguez followed suit in the seventh inning, stroking a two-out blast of Fulmer to extend the lead to 3-0.
Yandy Díaz scored one more in the top of the eighth for Columbus when he doubled and scored on a wild pitch.
Up 4-0, the Clippers bullpen took over for Talbot in the eighth, closing the book on his fabulous evening. He scattered seven hits, struck out five and didn't walk anybody in his seven scoreless innings.
The Knights added their lone run in the bottom of the ninth with a two-out homerun to make it 4-1, but that's where things would end.
The Clippers will travel to Gwinnet tomorrow for a double-header. Game one is set for a 5:05 p.m. start at Coolray Field.
