AUBURN, NY - The Doubledays (2-2) dropped a close one 7-5 against the State College Spikes (3-1) in the series opener at Falcon Park.

Jean Valdez and cranked a single to right field to score David Masters in the seventh and Jordon Poole record his first hit this season, a double, to drive in Cody Gunter. The Doubledays rally fell short as Brady Adamek earned his first save of the season.
