Also included on the roster is Austin Smith. The right-handed pitcher was the first player taken by the Padres in the 2016 MLB Draft when he was selected with the 51st overall pick two years ago.
The Dust Devils are expected to receive additional players from the 2017 MLB Draft, which begins tonight and runs through Wednesday of this week. The Padres have the 3rd overall pick and will have a total of three selections during today's portion of the draft.
