Lopez's Home Run Not Enough

August 10, 2017

[Empty Body]

Despite a home run from Justin Lopez the Tri-City Dust Devils (8-6, 28-24) lost to the Vancouver Canadians 6-2 on Wednesday night at Nat Bailey Stadium. The blast for the 17-year-old Lopez was the first of his career.
The homer was part of a stretch for the Dust Devils where they had four straight base hits in the top of the second inning. Tri-City scored both of their runs in the second inning, but the team fell cold at the plate after that. The Dust Devils were limited to just two hits over the final seven innings of the game. Starting pitcher Henry Henry suffered the loss after allowing eight hits and three earned runs in five innings of work.
Right-hander Will Stillman will start the rubber match of the three-game series on Thursday afternoon. The series finale will start at 1:05 p.m. from Nat Bailey Stadium. Radio coverage on Thursday will be online only. Fans can listen to the game as always at www.dustdevilsbaseball.com or on any smart phone or table via the TuneIn Radio app. The team will return to Gesa Stadium on Friday night for a five-game series against the Hillsboro Hops. Friday will be Star Wars Night presented by Gesa Credit Union and a $1 Family Feast Night sponsored by CO-Energy. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
