After letting up 12 runs the day before, the Palm Beach Cardinals held the Jupiter Hammerheads to just one run on Saturday night. The Cardinals would win by a score of 4-1 at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

Palm Beach scored quickly as Alex Iadisernia started the game with a lead-off double. On the next at-bat, R.J. Yeager would connect for an RBI single.

The Hammerheads would respond in the second inning with an RBI single from Harrison Spohn to make it a 1-1 game. Chase Luttrell would come around to score after his 10th double of the season.

The two teams would remain deadlocked at 1-1 until the eighth inning when the Cardinals scored three runs. Jupiter was unable to add any offense in the final two frames and lost the contest 4-1.

Both pitching staffs stood out on Saturday evening. For the Hammerheads, Jake Eder made his second Minor League rehab start after suffering Tommy John. The lefty pitched four innings of strong baseball. The Marlins No. 5 overall prospect allowed four hits and collected three strikeouts in his first home start.

In relief, Euri Montero kept the momentum going with two hitless innings out of the bullpen. Evan Taylor followed and pitched 1.2 innings before allowing three runs and eventually earning the loss. Breidy Encarnacion finished the game, allowing just one hit in 1.1 innings. The righty lowered his ERA under one and now sits at 0.99 for the season.

Jupiter and Palm Beach will play their series finale on Sunday afternoon with the first pitch coming at noon.
