In a game that started as a scoreless pitchers duel, the Jupiter Hammerheads (2-3) would surrender four runs in the top of the ninth inning to the St. Lucie Mets (2-3) and fall 4-1 Wednesday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

The game was locked in a scoreless pitchers' duel for the first seven and a half innings tonight. Hammerheads starting pitcher Emmett Olson tossed five scoreless innings in his Jupiter debut allowing just one walk and one hit while recording four strikeouts. Riskiel Tineo and Tristan Stevens followed out of the Jupiter bullpen with three scoreless innings in relief. Mets starting pitcher Kade Morris matched that with five scoreless innings of his own as well as two scoreless innings from Jawlime Ramirez.

The game did not see a run scored until the bottom of the eighth inning. Mark Coley II led off the frame with his second triple of the night. Two batters later and with one out, Brock Vradenburg hit a ground ball to second base and Coley II was called safe at the plate on an RBI fielder's choice putting the Hammerheads on the scoreboard first at 1-0.

St. Lucie took the emotions of the previous frame into the top of the ninth inning and sent nine men to the plate. Xavier Meachem (L, 0-1) would put runners at the corners with one out thanks to a lead off walk and a single. Mets catcher Christopher Suero would drive in both runners on a two-RBI triple to give the Mets their first lead. Three batters later with two outs, Diego Mosquera padded the lead with a two-RBI single to make it 4-1 Mets.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hammerheads brought the tying run to the plate but were unable to get any more runs as the Mets took game two of the six-game series by a final score of 4-1.

Coley II went 2-for-4 at the plate with two triples and the only Hammerheads run scored. Vradenburg also went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

The series continues with game three of six on Thursday, April 11th at 6:30 p.m. Brandon White gets the start on the mound for Jupiter in his season debut.
