2018 First Rounder Daniel Lynch Promoted to Lexington

WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK (Lexington, KY) - The Kansas City Royal's 34^th overall 2018 MLB Draft selection, Daniel Lynch has been promoted to Lexington after three strong starts on the mound for the Burlington Royals.

Lynch has spent his early professional career with the Burlington Royals. In three starts this season, he has pitched 11.1 innings allowing just two earned runs with 14 strikeouts. He has held opponents to a mere .209 batting average. In his last start on July 5, his tossed 5.0 shutout innings allowing just three hits while striking out five. He has not allowed a run in 8.2 innings. Lynch struck out a career high six batter on June 29 in 3.2 innings.
Lynch was stellar in his final season at the University of Virginia. He finished 2018 with a 3.96 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 88.2 innings. In the 2018 ACC Tournament, he allowed only two runs in 7.0 innings against No. 7 Florida State.
He will be making his first start for the Legends tonight at SRP Park in the series finale between Lexington and the Augusta GreenJackets.
In a corresponding roster move, the Legends have placed Garrett Suchey on the Disabled List.
