WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK (Lexington, KY) - In the (possible) final homestand of the season, the Lexington Legends are packing the eight games with promotions fit for the whole family! The Legends are still in the hunt for a playoff spot which could even be decided in this homestand! Fans can purchase their playoff ticket packages beginning Thursday, August 23 at the Box Office.
"This is a very important homestand for not only the baseball, but we are also honoring our diversity. On Friday night, we will host Hispanic Heritage Night which will feature some key aspects of a culture that is important to Lexington and the Bluegrass. Fans are encouraged to pack Whitaker Bank Ballpark for the entirety of the homestand to ensure some playoff baseball! We are so excited to still be in contention for the postseason here in Lexington," said Legends President/CEO, Andy Shea.
Thursday, August 23 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Hagerstown Suns: A 40 foot ladder. A wheelbarrow. A bicycle. What do these things and more have in common? The Amazing Tyler will balance all three of these items and more on his head! As seen on America's Got Talent, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Regis and Kelly, ESPN, and Ballparks all across the country! Tyler's Amazing Balancing Act will shock and awe all in attendance at Whitaker Bank Ballpark on Thursday, August 23! Since it's a Thursday home game, we'll have our Kentucky Ale #ThirstyThursday $1 Beers and Pepsi, along with it being another Pepsi #BarkInThePark night, you can bring your four-legged furry friend to the game with a small $2 donation to the Scott County Humane Society. The night is brought to you by our friends at Midway University!
Friday, August 24 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Hagerstown Suns: The Legends are proud to once again host Hispanic Heritage Night on Friday, August 24 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Hispanic Heritage Night is proudly presented by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Human Rights Commission, and throughout the game all fans will see, hear, taste and feel the #stachetastic rich culture of our local Hispanic community. We will have music on the plaza, courtesy of Pepsi, during our pregame festivities along with local Hispanic cuisine available for purchase! At the Cantina, fans can buy two churros for $4 as well as $4 Lime-arita and Straw-baritas! Also during the game, the Legends players will be wearing Legends-branded Sugar Mustache Skull Caps specially designed for Hispanic Heritage Night and presented by LFUCHRC! Thanks to the Human Rights Campaign, the Legends will also be selling the extremely popular Sugar Mustache Skull hat in the Stache Shoppe. Following the final out, fireworks will conclude the night!
Saturday, August 25 at 6:35 p.m. vs. Hagerstown Suns: Tops in Lex are giving fans an opportunity to meet the Legends players & get autographs on Saturday, August 25 starting at 4:30pm. The first 1,000 Kids 12 & Under will receive a Legends Light Up Stache Bracelet, our exclusive Stache Tank Giveaway created by students at Northern Elementary School in Lexington! The autograph session is open to all Legends fans holding tickets for the August 25 game. Plan to arrive early as the guys will only be signing until 5:30pm. The Stache Shoppe will be open to all fans during the autograph session, so swing by and grab a stachetastic item and get some autographs from your 2018 Lexington Legends. Sunday, August 26 at 2:05 p.m. vs. Hagerstown Suns: Not only is it Sunday Funday, but it is also Slithering at the Stadium! The Kentucky Reptile Zoo will be at the stadium with some of their animals for fans to meet and learn more about. Fans can bring their own scaly friend to Whitaker Bank Ballpark that are safe in large crowds and around loud music for a donation to the Kentucky Reptile Zoo. Kids 12 and under will get in FREE courtesy of JiF and families can enter the ballpark early at 12:30 p.m. for Playtime on the Outfield.
Monday, August 27 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Augusta Greenjackets: Have you been missing a lot of work lately, but not actually missing it? Have you lost your stapler recently and suspect a coworker might be the culprit? The Legends will celebrate Office Space Night and get down to all of the questions that are raised when you are working in close proximity with a unique group of people between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Fans will also be able to make their own flare! Members Heritage members will receive a free ticket when they show their card at the Box Office!
Tuesday, August 28 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Augusta Greenjackets: Celebrate the final Tuesday of the season with 25¢ Eisenberg hot dogs all night long! Fans will also be able to participate in a hot dog eating contest that will take place during the game. The World Record is 74 hot dogs and we are sure a Legends fan could beat that mark!
Wednesday, August 29 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Augusta Greenjackets: In celebration of another Winning Wednesday, fans who bring in their ticket from August 8 will receive a free ticket!
Thursday, August 30 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Augusta Greenjackets: It is the final regular season game at Whitaker Bank Ballpark and the Legends are going to celebrate why we do what we do: the fans. During Fan Appreciation Night, fans can bid on the game worn jerseys that the players will wear. Bidding will take place online at www.gesture.lexlegends.com with the proceeds benefiting KentuckyOne Health - Saint Joseph Hospital Nursing Foundation. It will be the final Kentucky Ale #ThirstyThursday with $1 Beers and Pepsi, along with it being another Pepsi #BarkInThePark night, you can bring your four-legged furry friend to the game with a small $2 donation to the Scott County Humane Society.
