Game Summary: The Oklahoma City Comets allowed a combined 12 runs across the final five innings in a 13-7 loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes Tuesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Albuquerque (21-19/60-55) scored the game’s first run on a RBI single in the second inning. Oklahoma City (22-17/63-50) took the lead in the third inning with a two-run homer off the bat of Zach Ehrhard. The Comets put up two more runs in the fourth with a leadoff blast from Hyeseong Kim followed by a Noah Miller sacrifice fly. Albuquerque proceeded to score 10 straight runs over the next four innings. The Isotopes tied the game with a three-run fifth inning and later put the game away with five runs in the eighth inning to take an 11-4 lead. Oklahoma City ended its drought in the bottom of the eighth with a two-run homer from Alex Freeland. Albuquerque then plated two runs in the ninth inning on sacrifice flies before Ryan Fitzgerald got one run back for the Comets with a two-out RBI single in OKC’s final at-bat.

Of Note:

-Oklahoma City dropped the series opener to Albuquerque, as the Comets lost for the second time in the last three games, but for just the second time in the last 12 games…Tuesday’s loss ended the Comets’ five-game winning streak at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

-Oklahoma City’s 13 runs allowed were the most allowed by the Comets in a home game since Round Rock put 13 on the board June 20, 2025 in Bricktown…The Comets allowed double-digit runs for the second time in the last three games, surrendering 32 runs during the stretch…Albuquerque’s eight extra-base hits were a season high for an OKC opponent at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and the most allowed by OKC in a game overall since June 11 in Charlotte (9).

-Zach Ehrhard went 3-for-5 with a double, homer, two RBI and two stolen bases to extend his on-base streak to 19 games, now tied for the third-longest on-base streak by a Comet this season. The outfielder is batting .365 (27-for-74) with 16 RBI, 19 walks and 22 runs scored during the stretch. Ehrhard collected his second three-hit game across a four-game span as he homered for the first time since July 19 at Tacoma.

-Noah Miller put together a 3-for-3 game with a RBI and is on an eight-game hitting streak, going 15-for-34 (.441). He matched a season-high in hits for the fifth time this year with three of those games coming across the last five contests.

-Hyeseong Kim homered for the second time this season and first time at home with Oklahoma City. The infielder has recorded a hit in each of the last five games, hitting 8-for-21 with three extra-base hits and five RBI.

-The Comets scored at least six runs for the seventh straight game and for the 13th time in the last 14 games..OKC finished with 14 hits, reaching double-figures for the fourth straight game and sixth time over the last seven games.

-Bobby Miller continued a Major League Rehab Assignment with Oklahoma City and tossed 2.0-plus innings, allowing three runs, three hits and one walk with one strikeout. He threw 44 pitches (24 strikes)...He is currently on the Dodgers’ 60-day Injured List due to right shoulder soreness.
