Cristopher Molina leads Orem to 7-4 win over Helena

OREM - The Owlz ended their five-game skid on Wednesday night, beating the Helena Brewers 7-4.Jeremiah Jackson and Kevin Maitan scored for the Owlz in the opening inning. Jackson scored on a balk and Maitan scored on a Francisco Del Valle sacrifice fly.

Meanwhile, Cristopher Molina was clutch at the mound for the Owlz, surrendering no runs. Despite having the bases loaded, Molina struck out Leugim Castillo and Pablo Abreu to end the bottom of the first.
Orem brought the lead up to 6-0 in the third. To start things off, Rayneldy Rosario scored on a Jackson triple. Then, Jackson scored on a Maitan single. To finish things off, D'Shawn Knowles homered to left field, scoring Maitan and giving the Owlz a commanding lead.
Johan Sala hit a double to right field in the bottom of the fourth. Sala scored a couple of plays later after Rosario grounded out. Sala's score lifted the Owlz to 7-0.
Orem's chances at a shutout game ended in the top of the seventh when Abreu scored off of wild pitch from Kyle Tyler. Helena scored another run when Luis Avila hit a sacrifice fly, allowing Bryan Torres to get another run. Orem's lead was cut to 7-2 after these two runs.
Helena grabbed another run in the eighth inning, Yieson Coca scored off of a wild pitch from Tyler. Then, in the top of the ninth, Avila scored the final run of the game, bringing the score to 7-4.
The Owlz will be on the road until they play Ogden on Friday, August 24. It will be Timp Harley Night presented by B.A.C.A. at the Home of the Owlz. Gates will open at 6:05 p.m. and the game will start at 7:05 p.m.
