Orem uses early rally to beat Missoula 12-7

OREM - Orem went for eleven runs in the first three innings in their 12-7 win over Missoula.Jeremiah Jackson hit a homer to left field to give the Owlz a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

Jeremiah Jackson hit a homer to left field to give the Owlz a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. 

The Owlz opened the second by blasting two home runs. D'Shawn Knowles and Nonie Williams both hit homers to right field to give the Owlz 3-0 lead. Then Jordyn Adams hit a triple to center field to score both Mario Sanjur and Francisco Del Valle.
Missoula got three runs in the third. David Sanchez scored off a Buddy Kennedy single. Kennedy and Brandon Leyton scored from a Zack Shannon double.
Orem caught fire at plate in the third grabbing six runs and extending their lead to .11-3. Livan Soto scored from a Williams' sacrifice fly. Knowles scored off of a Fitzsimons' double. Then Fitzsimons scored from a Sanjur double. Sanjur also scored from a Jackson triple. Jackson and Adams also scored.  
Shannon singled in the bottom of the fifth to score Kennedy and bring the score to 11-4. The Osprey's Alek Thomas hit a three-run homer in the sixth cutting the Owlz lead to four.
Orem grabbed another run in the bottom of the eighth from an Adam's RBI single. This brought the score to 12-7.
The Owlz will play Missoula again tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. It will be Mascot Night at the Home of the Owlz.
