The Palm Beach Cardinals went to extra innings for the second consecutive time, but couldn't pull off a victory in a 4-1 defeat.

The Cardinals only run came on an RBI single by Brian O'Keefe in the second. The only Palm Beach batter with multi-hits was Danny Hudzina who finished the night 2-4 with two doubles.
Ian Oxnevad threw a scoreless four innings to begin the game. As rain started to fall in the fifth, he allowed an RBI single and the game was immediately halted for over an hour.

Out of the break, Will Latcham threw 3 2/3 perfect innings before handing the ball over to Eric Carter.
Carter threw a scoreless ninth before getting into trouble in the 10th. He allowed a two-out bases loaded single that extended Charlotte's lead to 4-1.
The Cardinals had plenty of opportunities to break the game open, however a 2-15 mark with runners in scoring position did not help their cause.
Palm Beach will look for a series split tomorrow at 1:00 PM as the teams will finish the four game series.
