Cardinals rally way to walk-off win over Daytona

The Cardinals erased a four-run deficit and scored five unanswered runs, all with two outs, in a walk-off 5-4 victory over Daytona on Tuesday night.
Jake Walsh's only blemish on Tuesday was a four-run third inning by the Tortugas that saw the opposition take an early 4-0 lead. That was the only inning of his six pitched that he would allow a run in. Additionally, the starter struck out five.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, a Ryan McCarvel single loaded the bases with just one out. The next Palm Beach hitter, Danny Hudzina, struck out. With two outs in the frame, Juan Yepez, who came in as a defensive replacement, hit a scorching line drive down the left field line that scored three runners. With Yepez now on second base, Kramer Robertson followed with a single up the middle that scored Yepez and knotted the game at four.
The Palm Beach bullpen was stellar with Jason Zgardowski throwing two scoreless innings followed by Bryan Dobzanski's scoreless ninth.
In the home half of the ninth, Ryan McCarvel led off with a double. Hudzina would bunt him over to third and Yepez would come to the plate with the game-winning run just 90 feet away. He would get plunked on a 2-2 pitch setting the stage for Kramer Robertson. After Yepez advanced to second on defensive indifference, Robertson grounded a ball to short and Alfredo Rodriguez's throw home would be in time to nab McCarvel.
Now, with two men out and runners on first and second, Dylan Carlson hit a solid line drive into left that scored Yepez and gave Palm Beach its 56^th victory of the season.
Stefan Trosclair added two hits and Irving Lopez reached base three times. Lopez, in his first eight games with the Cardinals, has an on-base-percentage of .424 and is hitting .333.
