Palm Beach jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second after Julio Rodriguez hit an RBI double and was followed by Bryce Denton's RBI single.
It became a 3-0 game in the third when Chase Pinder reached on an error that scored Justin Toerner from third.
In the fourth, Justin Toerner hit an RBI groundout and Jose Martinez scored on a wild pitch leading to a 5-0 lead for the Beach Birds.
The Cardinals attacked the Miami Marlins' former first round pick Braxton Garrett, tagging him for five total runs and five hits through five innings. 
Cardinals' starter Alex Fagalde was flawless on the mound through five innings allowing just a solo hit and retiring 12 of the first 13 batters he faced. He got into trouble in the sixth allowing a run on an RBI groundout and then allowed a two-run homer in the seventh, his first in 23 innings. He finished with seven full innings pitched allowing just those three runs on four hits while striking out seven.
Bryan Dobzanski tossed a scoreless eighth and Junior Fernandez earned his fourth save of the season after throwing a scoreless ninth.
Denton and Rodriguez both had a season high three hits in the victory.
