Pitching for Palm Beach was very back-and-forth. Starter Hancel Rincon struggled in his outing, allowing four runs on five hits, with two homers, in three innings of work. Angel Cuenca then pitched well for the most part. The righty allowed two runs, one unearned, over two and a third innings with two strikeouts. The, Jason Savacool settled things down. The newcomer tossed an inning and two thirds of scoreless baseball, allowing no baserunners and striking out three. Tyler Bradt did not look as good in his second outing, allowing a two-run homer and two walks in his inning of relief. Tanner Jacobson pitched a scoreless ninth to keep Palm Beach in striking distance going into the final frame.

The offense performed well, matching Jupiter stride for stride, but fell just short. Won-Bin Cho had a single and a double to go with two runs scored. Michael Curialle had two hits, an RBI, and scored once. Leonardo Bernal walked twice for the third consecutive game, also managing a hit, two runs, and an RBI. Chase Davis had a huge game-tying two-run double. Kade Kretzschmar had three hits on the day with two RBIs.

The Palm Beach Cardinals will look to bounce back against the St. Lucie Mets on August 8th. This was the final Duel of the Dean of the regular season, but with the Cardinals already locked into a playoff spot, there remains a chance they will meet again this season.
