Palm Beach falls in extras to Jupiter

Everything fell apart for Palm Beach in the tenth inning when Jupiter put a nine spot on the scoreboard in an eventual 10-2 extra-innings final. It was the second straight night the teams played more than nine innings.
Cardinals' No. 1 prospect and baseball's No. 18 overall prospect (According to MLB Pipeline) Alex Reyes was on the hill for the Cardinals. He threw 3.1 scoreless innings that included six strikeouts and two pitches that registered at 99 miles per hour.
Palm Beach was first on the scoreboard in the second inning after Shane Billings hit an RBI single. With two hits on Wednesday, Billings has collected 20 hits in his past 15 games.
Jupiter tied things up in the sixth off Cardinals' Ian Oxnevad. The lefty allowed just that one run through his first 5.2 innings pitched until things unraveled in extras. He only recorded one out and allowed six runs (five earned). The Hammerheads scored four more off Austin Sexton to make It a 10-1 ballgame.
Stefan Trosclair scored on a double play in the bottom half making the score its eventual 10-2 final.
José Godoy continued his success at the plate with two hits, raising his batting average to .357.
Palm Beach hits the road for seven straight with its next three games at Bradenton and following four in Clearwater.
