The Cardiac Cardinals struck again on Thursday night in a walk-off series finale win over Ft. Myers
Down 2-1 in the eighth inning, Chase Pinder hit a solo home run to tie the game. It was just his second homer of the season.
After Will Latcham pitched out of a 10th inning jam that saw the bases loaded, Shane Billings hit a walk-off, two-out bases loaded single in the home half of the inning, sending Palm Beach to the All-Star break with a win.
The victory puts the Cardinals' magic number at just one game.
Casey Meisner allowed just one run in his 5 2/3 innings pitched, striking out five along the way.
Ft. Myers pulled ahead on an error by Kramer Robertson.
Chase Pinder was the only Cardinal to record a multi-hit game.
Dylan Carlson hit a sac-fly in the first inning to score the game's first run.
Eric Carter threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings before handing the ball to Latcham who tossed the final two frames without allowing a run. The All-Star logged his third win of the season.
