Palm Beach Cardinals fall to Jupiter on Opening Day

The Palm Beach Cardinals were first on the scoreboard, however could not hold on to a late lead in what would eventually be a 3-2 loss to the Jupiter Hammerheads.
Starting pitcher Anthony Shew threw five scoreless innings, surrendering just three hits and three walks. He struck out five in that span.
Outfielder Chase Billings seventh inning single scored the first Palm Beach run of the game.
Out of the bullpen, Jesus Cruz and Greg Holland both threw a scoreless inning without surrendering a baserunner.
Jupiter got all three of its run on one swing as shortstop Joe Dunand hit a two-out, three RBI triple in the top of the eighth inning.
Palm Beach made it a one run game in the bottom half of the eighth inning on a fielder's choice that scored Cardinals No. 30 (According to MLB Pipeline) prospect Kramer Robertson.
Recently traded for designated hitter Johan Mieses recorded two hits in the loss.
The Cardinals will look for their first win of the season on Friday night when they host the Jupiter Hammerheads once again. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
